Project Overview

Located in the interchange of Tenglong Road and Zhongmei Road and in the neighborhood of Hongshan Station of Metro Longhua Line (Line 4), the project land is under the administration of Minzhi Office of Longhua District, with a land area of 39,804.03 m², of which New Shenzhen Art Museum takes a construction area of 34,956 m² and an estimated investment of RMB398, 199,900, while the Pooling Stack of Shenzhen Library takes 35,873 m², investment of RMB297, 819,200.

Longhua Art Museum + Library are major cultural facilities of 2015 plans in Shenzhen. It is not only a place for cultural events and exhibit of fine arts, its architectural design should fully reflect the spirit of and the cultural connotation of Shenzhen. It is the carrier of arts so the building itself should also be a precious art. Since China attaches great importance to urban design and architectural design currently, Shenzhen must persist in the principles of high-standard and high-level construction. Thus, there should be open design tenders for the major public buildings, in order to obtain greater participation and expand the social influence of the project. By brainstorming ultimately gain an optimal scheme.

Tender Mode

It is an open tender and those independent registered companies who have relevant design experiences can register for it. There won’t be any qualification requirements during the application. Given the cultural value orientation and complexity of the inside functional requirements of the project, in order to encourage the diversity of design, joint design groups are encouraged for the win-win co -operation and complementary advantages.

The tender will be undertaken by two stages: StageⅠApplication and Qualification Review, Stage Ⅱ Scheme Review.

Qualification review jury will review on the company achievements, the composition of the joint design group and concept proposal, and select 8-10 finalists into Stage Ⅱ .

The top three winners will each get a bonus, while the rest of the finalists will each receive design compensation.

Tender Platform

The tender will be undertaken in Shenzhen Construction Trade and Service Center. And it will be officially started in the middle of May.
