An open international bidding for the architectural design of the new construction scheme design and the preliminary specialized architectural design of Huanggang Port, one of the most important ports of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is about to be launched!
One of the most important land border ports in China, Huanggang Port is located in Futian District, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, facing Hong Kong across the river with the total land area of about 72 hectares.
Shenzhen serves as a link between Hong Kong and the mainland with basically saturated existing port facilities. In order to accelerate the development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, China’s central, provincial and municipal governments require to promote the reconstruction of Huanggang Port as soon as possible.
The reconstruction of Huanggang Port will recreate the image of the city portal and build the Port into a national modern first-class port that integrates the entry and exit and the three-dimensional comprehensive transport hub. The reconstructed Huanggang Port will improve its comprehensive service, respond to the planning and construction of Loop Area, align with the strategy of “East Entry & Exit and West Entry & Exit”, cancel the cargo inspection function, and be positioned as a pure inspection port. The port reconstruction will also introduce multiple railways such as intercity railway, urban transit system and Hong Kong transit railway and build a highway-railway compound port, so as to realize efficient internal and cross-border connectivity in the Bay Area. New construction of Huanggang Port aims to build a port-type comprehensive transportation hub and innovative national gateway that radiates Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and face the world.
The new construction project of Huanggang Port includes two parts: the new port construction project and the port comprehensive office building.
1) Located in the current tourist inspection area of Huanggang Port, the new port covers an area of about 80,000 square meters and a gross floor area of about 400,000 square meters. The construction tentatively includes the port tourist inspection building, the inspection channel, the bus pick-up & drop-off area, the key inspection parking lot and the connecting layer of public transportation, etc. The new port is surrounded by the current Metro Line 7, the planned Line 20, the Shenzhen-Guangzhou Axis Intercity Railway, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Intercity Railway and the proposed branch of Hong Kong Northern Link.
2) The port comprehensive office building is located on the north side of the new tourist inspection building, covering an area of about 6,500 square meters and a gross floor area of about 150,000 square meters.

1) This bidding adopts the method of open registration. The bidder shall have the design qualification of Grade A and above in the domestic construction industry (construction engineering). The registration of individual and individual group will not be accepted.
2) This bidding allows design institutions to form a joint design group. No more than three members are allowed in each joint group.

(1) Pre-registration:Intentional design institutions are welcome to send e-mails to competition@ehow.net.cn to submit pre-registration information, carry out the relevant bidding preparations and pay close attention to the follow-up information.
(2) Official registration:It is expected to start in the late August, and the registration period will be 15-20 days.

1. Pre-qualification stage:
The pre-qualification jury will review the applicants’ materials such as company qualifications, achievements, teams to participate in the project and conceptual drafts, and select the bidders to enter the second stage - the bidding stage of scheme design.
2. The bidding stage of scheme design
The bidder shall submit deliverables that meet the requirements of the design brief.
The design fee is 50 million yuan tentatively, including basic design fee, BIM design fee and compensation fee for excellent schemes without winning bid.
