SUMMARY: We invited Luo Zhengqi, first President of Shenzhen University (SZU) as the guest and Ai Zhigang, Deputy Dean of School of Architecture & Urban Planning (SAUP) as the guide for us to visit the buildings and roads of SZU, such as the Central Square, students dormitory of Zhai District, sports ground of South District and the Science and Technology Building, and to tell us the almost-forgotten legends of the university established in the 1980s. The forum was hosted by keynote speaker Ai Zhigang, Deputy Dean of SUAP, and Zhang Zhiyang, a graduate representative of SZU, and Hu Yeqiu, a cultural scholar. They, along with audience, reviewed the innovation spirit of SZU and Shenzhen in that inspiring time and at the same time relived the dream of the university and the city by digging into the stories behind the establishment of SZU.
