Themed "Nanshan Wedding Center: Marriage between Architecture and Life", this activity invited Meng Yan, partner of URBANUS and main designer of Nanshan Wedding Center, as keynote speaker, and Zhang Zhiyang, a cutting-edge designer in Shenzhen, Jin Minhua, an experienced professional as guests. Together with the public, design workers and users, they explored the influence of space design on citizens' life.

Shenzhen Concert Hall & Shenzhen Library: Concerto of Architecture and Culture

Through questionnaires on hot issues of public concern and discussions by representatives from design, media and architecture and planning industries, the second Design & Life public forum explored the topic "Shenzhen Concert Hall & Shenzhen Library: Concerto of Architecture and Culture". With Hu Qian, Director of ISOZAKI+HuQian Partners, as keynote speaker, the forum also invited Huang Weiwen, Director of Shenzhen Center for Public Art, and Wang Shaopei, a well-known cultural enthusiast, to discuss with the audience, designers and users on the interrelationship between architecture and cultural life as well as on the origin and mission of contemporary public cultural architectures.

Shenzhen University: Dream of City

We invited Luo Zhengqi, first President of Shenzhen University (SZU) as the guest and Ai Zhigang, Deputy Dean of School of Architecture & Urban Planning (SAUP) as the guide for us to visit the buildings and roads of SZU, such as the Central Square, students dormitory of Zhai District, sports ground of South District and the Science and Technology Building, and to tell us the almost-forgotten legends of the university established in the 1980s. The forum was hosted by keynote speaker Ai Zhigang, Deputy Dean of SUAP, and Zhang Zhiyang, a graduate representative of SZU, and Hu Yeqiu, a cultural scholar. They, along with audience, reviewed the innovation spirit of SZU and Shenzhen in that inspiring time and at the same time relived the dream of the university and the city by digging into the stories behind the establishment of SZU.

Made in Shenzhen: Local Architects and Their Practice

Set up a bridge between the design industry and the public, let the public communicate face-to-face with designers. This Design & Life was organized in collaboration with outstanding young architects and independent curators in Shenzhen, which was the first innovative attempt. By showing the public to architects' studio, and enabling them to have close contact with architects and to listen to their dreams and persistence, we hoped this event would broaden the public's understanding of the theme: Made in Shenzhen: Local Architects and Their Practice.

Jiaochangwei B&B Regulation Project, Trip to Jiaochangwei

The guests gathered with the public, designers and users to talk about the influence of space design on citizen's life.
