As a place for human activities, cities provide various spaces for transportation, public activities, consumption, entertainment and so on. The construction of the city is a long and ever-changing process. As the demand side of city, public participation in community building and space upgrading is a necessary part for perfecting the living environmen. Shangmeilin is a large community with dense population and diverse spatial forms. We hope to work with residents from Shangmeilin to make better use of information technology so as to facilitate their engagement in community upgrading. Tools: Interactive City App We don't want to build an absolutely complete city map. Such a map would leave no room for changes, while the city grows and ages every day. What we need is a map that reflects the city's metabolism, which include the following matters: how the city is constantly updated (including negative landscape), what stories happened in this coordinate before (architectural map), and so on. To put it more emotionally, let every individual of the city draw the life of the city. We hope to attract friends who are interested in participating in city interaction and changing city through information technology to join us and to explore a more challenging city interactive platform.
