SUMMARY:

As urbanization continues, villages are replaced by cities. The economic status of Agriculture, the primary industry, is in jeopardy. Shenzhen has even become China’s first city with no agriculture. In fact, city is not in an adversarial relationship with agriculture, but in a symbiotic and win-win one, and therefore the concept of "urban agriculture" has become more and more important. City is not suitable for traditional agriculture due to its high cost of land , but it can allow agriculture to bring rich economic, environmental, social and cultural benefits through reasonable design. We hope that urban residents can also enjoy the poetic life style of "While picking asters beneath the fence, my gaze upon the Southern Mountain rests". In today’s Cool Chat, we invites urban planting talents, urban agricultural research experts, and young people who are eager to live a pastoral life to talk about the possibility, feasibility and expectability of urban agriculture development.
