In the second phase of the SMALL & SMART DESIGN COMPETITION, wecame to Lixin Garden. We tried to start small, and through the competition, to publicly solicit design solutions that respond to the needs of the community residents and improve the public space, community environment and living space of residents. After multiple communication, voting and screening, we selected four renovation sites, which are the entrance of People's Primary School, the walkways of Liangguo Street Square, Lixin Garden and Peisen Building. The program has now progressed to the settlement and construction stage. During this period, in addition to implementing the program, architects also try to interact more with the community residents, allowing them to participate in the reconstruction, thus enhance their sense of participation and identity of the community.
