There were 38 projects from 19 teams submitted during the first phase of the SMALL & SMART DESIGN COMPETITION. These submitted projects studied and analyzed the crowded, “dirty and messy” but extremely rich public space of the urban villages and offer innovative ideas for improving the residents’ daily life. The 13 finalists selected by the competition judging panel were displayed in the 2017 annual exhibition of BI-CITY BIENNALE OF URBANISM\ARCHITECTURE. Eight other programs from “Learn: Go to the village with UABB and do something! – Nantou Ancient City Residents Needs Survey and Innovation Practice Course” were also displayed. Welcome to the site and watch the exhibition!
