SUMMARY:

Entrusted by Shum Yip Terra Group, Shenzhen Center for Public Art (hereinafter referred to as “Art Center”) has undertaken three research projects on the history and culture of Chegongmiao area, the new transportation system there and the three-dimensional development concept design of Chegong Road. As a part of the Chegongmiao Area Renewal and Coordination Project Team, Art Center Project Team has made suggestions regarding renewal planning based on a systematic analysis of Chegongmiao area (including the history and culture, social economy and the evolvement of urban space). This article analyzes the urban renewal in Chegongmiao area from the perspective of systematic thinking.
