Located in the eastern part of Shenzhen, Dapeng New District is a relatively well-preserved ecological “clean land” with rich natural and human resources and beautiful environment. There are many residential villages with Lingnan characteristics in this area, among which is Jiaoweichang Village, the only ecological village in the Dapeng Peninsula that is adjacent to the coastline and has not been developed. Jiaoweichang is scattered with many distinctive B&Bs and inns, which have developed into a new coastal tourism project in Shenzhen and enjoys a certain popularity in the Pearl River Delta Region.

At present, there are about 500 single buildings at Jiaoweichang. Many of them are in poor condition, and the construction sites, appearances and interior space remain to be further improved. According to the preliminary research, 10 to20 single buildings operated as B&Bs (each with an area of 200 to 600㎡and building height of 2 to 4 layers), including public space between the buildings, are qualified for comprehensive regulation.
