Project Brief：

 To create an effective guidance for the development of “Low Carbon City” demonstration area, by invitation from Shenzhen International Low Carbon City Planning and Development Leadership Office and Shenzhen Special Zone Construction and Development Company, Shenzhen Public Art Center is to provide consultant service of urban design and architectural design for PINGDI Low Carbon City demonstration site. The site is about 1.1 square kilometer, among which, 1 square kilometer is to have an urban design scheme and 0.1 square kilometer is to have an architectural design scheme. “1.1” is not only the sum of the site area, it also means an attempt for an upgrade in PINGDI’s low carbon development. The Consultation is of two parts, two competitions and academic research. Top schools, research groups, and design agencies will be invited. Winning schemes and valuable research findings will be included in the “Shenzhen International Low Carbon City Forum” as part of the “Future of Shenzhen +” topics and recommended for the “2015 Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture”.
