SUMMARY:

With the authorization of the Municipality Oceanic Administration of Shenzhen, Design Center initiates the project titling “Happiness & Sea” Action Plan for Building a Beautiful Bay Area in Eastern Shenzhen. The region under study covers the bay area east of Shenzhen, i.e. the 365 km2 land area of Yantian District and Dapeng New District and the 425 km2 sea area. The study will systematically assess the current utilization of resources with reference to successful cases and public needs to seek routes and strategies for the overall development, and make action plans for future work. This article shows the findings of preliminary research and the background of public activity planning.
