Since 2014, the research—Impact evaluation of urban village renewal on low-income families and urban systems, has kept tracking and recording the changes of urban villages in the city. At the beginning of 2016, when there was heated discussion on the renewal of Bai shizhou, the regeneration of Shahe group area, namely the Shahe industrial zone and its ancillary residential area, has already picked up pace. Although this area should not be categorized as urban village, it shares symbiotic and auxiliary characteristics with Bai Shizhou village in terms of development history and space utilization. This study is carried out under the analysis framework of the original research Impact evaluation of urban village renewal on low-income families and urban systems.
