After the determination of the winning design teams for the third phase of the SMALL & SMART DESIGN COMPETITION (About Longling Community), the organizers and the design teams have been working together in the community for nearly six months and established a profound revolutionary friendship. Almost all the members from the winning teams and Xie Fei Practitioner Workshop for the second, third and fifth blocks are designers who have newly entered the design filed and have their own jobs. At the implementation stage, it is obvious that they are lack in working hours and program experiences. However, after work, the young designers would ask the newly-graduated organizers out to Burger King and study how to paint a flower-groove working drawing. They would also worry about how the construction supervision should be done. In fact, many sessions are promoted while consulting. It sounds embarrassing, but one of the original intentions of this competition is to provide young designers with the opportunity to learn in the process of participating in the project. During discussion, the designers will propose suggestions to the competition organizor, and they will also speak out their own shortcomings. We are fortunate to have such dedicated and enthusiastic colleagues, and we are happy to grow with them.
